Cherry Valley Golf Course

Originally built in 1932, the Cherry Valley Golf Course is a 9-hole executive length course spanning 1,584 yards. The course has a course rating of 35.5 and a slope rating of 113. It was renamed to Fuzzy Zoeller Par 3 in 1966 but 19 years later, the name was brought back to Cherry Valley Golf Course.

Herman Collier Park

Mainly serving the surrounding neighborhood, Herman Collier Park is one of the city's smallest parks. It features a basketball court, a playground, horseshoe pits, a covered picnic shelter and restrooms.

Sam Peden Community Park

At 104.5 acres, Sam Peden Community Park is Floyd County's largest park. The park's highlight is the 15-acre Kiwanis Lake where residents may fish with permit. Aside from the lake, the park features 11 tennis courts, 3 basketball courts, 2 soccer fields, a football field, a sand volleyball court, and a 2-mile lighted trail for walking, jogging, or biking. There are also 4 playground areas, 6 horseshoe pits, 5 covered shelters with tables and 4 restroom facilities. During the winter months, there is a hill in the park where children can go snow sledding.
