The main attraction in this tropical park is the beach, voted as one of the finest in America. It has wide stretches of soft white sands, the surf is gentle and the sea is clear and blue. Admission is free and parking is available. This park, south of Clearwater, is about 20 miles from Odessa FL.

Created in 1935, this 7-acre botanical garden has 50,000 tropical plants, flowers and trees as well as a butterfly garden, waterfalls, flamingo pool and displays of creepy crawlies. April, May and June are the best months to see the flowers in bloom. Don't miss the Orchid Arbor and the Japanese Garden. Catch the wildlife show and take the free garden tour. It's a great place for photographs and a peaceful stroll in the midst of the bustling city, but bring along the bug spray.
