Introduction
In this sylvan setting, it's hard to believe that the busy tourist town of Jackson with its fine Western art galleries, cowboy bars, and upscale restaurants, is only eight miles down the road, and Grand Teton National Park an equal distance to the north with Yellowstone fifty miles beyond.
Your host, a local of 47 years, builder, outfitter, guide and traveler, delights in sharing information! He is a former wilderness guide and white water outfitter who has lots of ideas for your days' activities. Some guests may decide on a daylong trip through Yellowstone National Park or perhaps a wildlife drive along the nearby benchland above the cottonwood-lined Snake River. A morning or afternoon could be spent hiking a trail around Jenny, String and/or Leigh Lakes or up one of the many canyons below the ragged peaks of the Grand Teton Mountains. Denny and his wife, Sally, will help you select activities to make this vacation one of your most memorable!
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Downy Woodpecker
With a room up here and down there and around that corner, its a little like entering one's childhood fantasy. The Tree House has several levels of decks. There is one large deck available for all guests to enjoy. There is a beautiful fire pit also located on this deck. In the early morning and toward sunset, moose and deer often graze through, much to the delight of us all. Curl up with a cup of tea and a book in front of our two-story adobe fireplace. Or test your skill at chess, Scrabble® or one of the many other card and board games provided.
Awake to the tempting aroma of baking bread and join your host and other guests to indulge in a full breakfast of fresh fruit, a rotating selection of hot "stick to your ribs" cereals plus delicious homemade yeast and sweet breads along with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a variety of juices. All our breakfasts are "heart-healthy," low cholesterol and delicious! We hope you'll enjoy our homemade, special recipe, nuts and seeds granola.
