Introduction
Built across a four-year span of time beginning in 1905, the Mayor's Inn Bed and Breakfast was often called the town's first true "mansion". It was built for Frank L. Houx, Cody's first elected mayor. Elected in 1901 when Cody was legally incorporated, he served two terms through 1909. He later went on to serve as Wyoming Secretary of State and was also appointed acting Governor in 1917 for two years. He would be proud to know how his home has fared.

Mayor's Inn Bed and Breakfast now offers five accommodations for guests. Four rooms in the main house are distinctly different with features such as king and queen-size beds, down comforters, hot tubs, TVs, CD players, claw foot tubs, and private baths. The Carriage House is located directly behind the inn. This vacation cottage includes a queen-size bed & double-size futon, bath with shower only and a TV. The full kitchen is equipped with all the basic utensils and is ideal for those who would like to do some of their own cooking. Rates range from $80 to $210 per night.

A hearty breakfast is served every morning in both of the dining rooms. You may sit at a private table or join others. Coffee and a variety of teas are always available in the guest kitchen.
