Everyone enjoys the gift of a special getaway, a chance to relax and rejuvenate - the Thomas Shepherd Inn and our unique historic town surroundings make the perfect present for the holidays or a special occasion. Let your gift recipient use your gift to design his or her own escape, at his or her own convenience.

Need it last minute? We can email your gift certificate to you! Gifts of relaxation are always welcome - we have gift certificates for sale year-round. See our specials to make your gift even more memorable!

To purchase a gift certificate call us at 888-889-8952 (toll-free) or go to our website for secure online purchase.

Our gift certificate program lets you tailor your gift to your specific needs by purchasing any dollar amount for a minimum of $100 plus the applicable tax.

We can mail the gift certificate to you, or directly to the recipient. Priority and overnight delivery is available for an additional fee.

Our gift certificates:

* Are good for one year
* Have no cash or credit value
* Must be used for reservations made in advance with the gift certificate number, with the gift certificate being surrendered for payment upon arrival. Cancellation of a reservation within our 7-day notice period may result in voiding the gift certificate. Extension of the gift certificate beyond the first year expiration date will result in a service charge of $10 per year, charged on that date and applied as a reduction in the gift certificate value.

You should also note that, generally, a two-night minimum stay is required with a Saturday night reservation. We may sometimes be able to accommodate a single Saturday night stay depending on the season and other bookings.

Add a little romance to your stay - our romance packages includes a bottle of your favorite sparkling beverage, chocolates and fresh seasonal flowers for your room- only $60! (roses available at an additional charge)

Celebration Cake Service
Celebrate your special occasion with a 6-inch round cake from our local bakery - we'll place the order and pick it up, and provide plates, forks and napkins for $30. Must be ordered at least three days in advance - choice of chocolate/vanilla, vanilla/chocolate, chocolate/chocolate, or vanilla/vanilla and your inscription. Larger cakes available with additional charge.

Rent the Inn
The Inn has a very large living room with 3 seating areas, two dining rooms, a small guest lounge and a large back porch and gardens for your enjoyment! Our six guest rooms all have private baths and can accommodate up to 12 people.
You can take pleasure in the company and leave the cleaning and breakfast to us. We can also provide additional meals for the group with notice and for an additional fee, or you can take advantage of the great restaurants in Shepherdstown.
