Bike (or Hike) and Winery

Awaken to the aroma of baking muffins and fresh-ground coffee brewing. Then bike or hike the West Fork River Rail Trail after your sumptuous full breakfast. Return to the Gillum House to pick up your packed lunch and directions to tour one of West Virginia's premier wineries - Lambert's Winery. After the tour, Lambert's Winery provides a beautiful and peaceful rural setting for your dining pleasure as you savor the sandwich on Kathleen's homemade bread and the rest of your lunch. Feel the soft breezes and enjoy a tasting of the wonderful wines made by Lambert's Winery when you visit the tasting room. As you wend your way back to the Gillum House visit 2 of the 17 remaining covered bridges in the State of West Virginia. A second restful night followed by another Gillum House breakfast is just the ticket to relieve the stresses of life.

Most of us like a bit of variety in our lives. We offer the person who loves tea an opportunity to choose from over 100 varieties of tea. Sample as many varieties as you wish.

We hear the question of "How fresh is your coffee?" and Gillum House listened. Choose which country's coffee you would like to have for breakfast in the morning and we roast it tonight. Choose your coffee from among many countries and several continents.

Come for the coffee or tea and explore covered bridges, antique shops, history, glassblowing, crafts, and winery. May thru Labor Day cap the weekend with a night at the Drive-in. Tell us BBONLINE and get $10 off the nightly rate.

Great riding 2-lane paved roads with great views, neat places to stop, and you will not cross the same piece of pavement twice (unless returning to route). Comes with one of Kathleen's scrumptious packed lunches (her herb bread, turkey with her "secret" topping sandwiches are great favorites) for two and day trip routing planned per each guest's interests. Add Kathleen's homemade manicotti (with homemade pasta) dinner that has an extra something that tells your lady she is "a Somebody".

A full breakfast will be served at your time each morning. Visit the Classic Vintage Motorcycle Art Gallery in our Library. John rode a Gold Star and Kathleen rode a Shadow. Come talk about the Flat Track days of Dick Mann, Gary Nixon, and the Santa Fe Race Track in Illinois. The
