Things to do
Take a jaunt through the historic district of Harper's Ferry and visit the site of John Brown's raid, along with other restored homes and shops significant to the Civil War. A short hike up to Jefferson's Rock will reward you with a spectacular view of mountains, rivers, trains and bridges at any time of the year. Bike the C&O towpath, take up antiguing, visit a craft festival or nearby outlets. Go fishing on the Potomac through the Inn's Guide Service. Run the river by kayak, canoe or raft through a local outfitter.
