The French Country Inn

A full complimentary breakfast is served each morning in our lakeside dining room and late afternoon tea is served in our parlor. (Monday - Thursday, during the off-season a breakfast basket is delivered to your room). The award-winning Kirsch's Restaurant is located on the premises and features gourmet dining and an extensive wine list. It is best to call Kirsch's for reservations for your special weekend.

Our luxury Inn is one hour from Milwaukee and 90 minutes from Chicago. After driving down a long winding country road off of Highway 50, you will see the panorama of the French Country Inn grounds and pool. Our lodgings are grouped along the shore of serene Lake Como. The hustle and bustle of the town of Lake Geneva with its quaint shopping is a mere 5 minute drive from our Inn. You will appreciate being in our lovely setting as you watch the sunset from your private room deck.

L'Auberge
We have added a beautiful new luxury building to the left side of this setting. It contains 8 spacious rooms and a comfortable gathering room for your special family or business events. All rooms are lakefront and have fireplaces and two person whirlpool baths. The upper 4 rooms in this building are two-story with a spiral staircase leading to a small loft area with a private whirlpool facing the lake and an adjacent fireplace - Very Romantic for those special occasions! The two end units on the upper and lower floors have an additional sitting room with a sleeper sofa - rooms 124 and 224.

Le Petit Auberge
One of our latest additions is a private cottage called "Le Petit Auberge" containing 2 separate suites. These rooms are beautifully appointed with a two sided fireplace facing both the bedroom area and the sitting area. The whirlpool is designed to make you feel as if you are floating in nature as it is built directly next to the lakefront. The most romantic! These suites are room 125 and 225.

The French Country Inn on the Lake has set aside a large intimate Gathering Room for your informal business meeting. Located in the L'Auberge building on the lakefront, it also houses 8 luxury rooms. It is a perfect setting for your group to take over the entire building plus any needed extra rooms. The inn has a total of 33 rooms which are shown on the accommodations page. The Gathering Room furniture can be moved around to accommodate your needs. It can also be set up in a more traditional meeting layout with tables and chairs. It has a kitchenette with microwave, sink and dishwasher and deli luncheon can be ordered ahead of time.

The Innkeeper, Mary Haggermaker (1–262–245–5220 phone) can assist you with your business needs. We will provide you with internet access, projector, screen set-up, easel and any AV needs. Mary can suggest some ideas tailored to your group such as private boat tours with dining, golf groups and sporting ideas. The inn has one of the finest dining experiences on the premises - Kirsch's Restaurant and reservations can be arranged. Meetings at the French Country Inn with its lovely lakeside setting are a unique experience.
