Introduction
Ideally located in the Historic Court House Hill District of Janesville WI, Scarlett House retains the charm, romance and gracious hospitality of the Victorian Era. This Queen Anne Style home was built around 1903 and is on the National Register of Homes.
Frank H. Blodgett the original owner was the great grandson of Caleb Blodgett the areas first white settler in 1820's and founder of Beloit and the university. Frank the 4th generation continued to run the Blodgett Milling Company Located on the Rock River which helped supply the early pioneers with their Rye and Wheat flour.
The home features a wrap around porch, fireplaces, ash and maple floors, original woodwork Victorian wallpapers, hand painted ceilings, and antique furnishings. Scarlett House has been lovingly restored with the added luxury and comfort of modern amenities.
Your morning begins with Freshly brewed gourmet coffee or choose from our selection of over 40 varieties of tea. Our full breakfast served on fine china in the Dining room, includes Juice, homemade muffins or baked goods, seasonal fresh fruit dish and a piping hot entree. Served at a 9:00 seating. Inquire about earlier morning continental fare.

The Inn is a 5 minute walk to Downtown Main street with its many taverns and eateries, Fudge shops, and antique stores all along the river.
In the evening, take in a show at The Fireside Dinner Theatre 25 minutes north in Fort Atkinson
Tour the Lincoln-Tallman restoration project- the home where president Lincoln slept after his debates with Douglas.
Visit Old World Wisconsin, just a short drive where people in period clothing make up Different ethnic villages and homesteads to form a living history museum.
