Introduction
Welcome to Penokee Mountain Inn, in Bayfield County
Lovingly built and owned by proprietors Cindy and Lee Roy Laymon, this beautiful home is surrounded by Maples, Birch, Aspen and Pine trees. The nearby cabin also built by Cindy and Lee Roy sleeps 4 and views a wildflower meadow. Breakfast can be served in the cabin or at the main house.
The Inn is within walking distance of the Chequamegon National Forest and the North Country Trail. A hiking trail to the Old Swedish Settlement, St. Peter's Dome and Morgan Falls are nearby. Class A trout streams, mountain biking, hiking are all within a stone's throw.
The Inn is 20 miles South of Lake Superior and Ashland, Wisconsin. You can kayak, canoe or fish on local lakes and rivers, see the ice caves, go antiquing, spend an evening at the casino or go to one of the many waterfalls in the area.

We do not take credit cards and will only accept check or cash.
