The Rendezvous is probably our most unusual room and is done in a rustic french country look. The walls are recycled cream city brick in a random pattern. They are highlighted by wood timbers on the walls as well as on the ceiling. The colors throughout are done in the
french county look of deep reds, golden tans and various shades of blues. The bricks on the walls are placed in such a manner that there are very few straight lines. They go up and down, sideways and even curved with unusual pieces of wood and timbers placed in an unexpected pattern. The whirlpool is surrounded with mirrors on two sides and dark brown timbers form a canopy over it. The soft glow of the candles reflecting on the mirrored walls of the whirlpool create a tranquil atmosphere. The unusual pump used to fill the whirlpool is handmade from two logs. The bed has a country quilt which is done with dark reds, navy blues and light tans and the wooden headboard of the bed is built right into the wall. A navy blue leather reclining love seat is a comfy place to sit and enjoy the fireplace. The coffee table that sits in front of it, changes into a dining table with an easy touch. The fireplace continues the french county theme of the room. Because the fireplace was placed in the corner, it can be seen from anywhere in the room. Just outside your door is a private cobblestone patio area with dining table and two chairs that will have a great view of the flower gardens and the fountain in the summer. |
