Newman Suite
This room is named the Paul Newman Suite because he stayed here while he was doing summer stock at the Belfry Theater in 1950. We don't know which room he stayed in, but we decided one of rooms should be named after him!!
The room is designed to look like stables inside, since it was originally used as stables. Wide pine boards cover the walls and ceiling and the floor is done in hunter green carpeting.
The canopy queen size bed, the canopy daybed and the canopy whirlpool are all built with four by four inch beams. Lots of ivy weave through the beams and inside the canopies. The quilt on the bed is done in lavenders and greens. Wild violets are the print on the valance curtains. The twelve foot wall of split fieldstone has a fireplace in the middle of it. A dining area for two sits just to the left of the double whirlpool.
