Introduction
Harbor House Inn, located in the quaint Wisconsin fishing village of Gills Rock, was built in 1904 to welcome weary travelers arriving by sailing schooners. Now it's a refurbished and expanded bed and breakfast, open March through November, offering you a quiet escape in Northern Door County. You can relax in one of our Victorian Rooms, Cottages, Suites, or our premier Lighthouse Suite, while enjoying the beautiful view and colorful sunsets over the harbor and bluffs of the Green Bay waters.
Enjoy your morning coffee by the fireplace, in the gazebo or on one of the decks overlooking the fishing harbor. During the day, take time to relax on the two acres of grounds (tables and grills available) or walk to the ferry, the smoked fish market, shopping and dining. Later, unwind in our sauna and whirlpool.
Door County is renowned for its tulips in the spring, cherries in summer, apples and changing colors in the fall and white winter solitude. Harbor House Inn is open March 1st through November 30th and is pet friendly. Pets are allowed in nine of our rooms. A delicious, fresh-baked Continental breakfast is served each morning in the Great Room. Breakfast includes coffee, hot chocolate, a selection of hot teas, juice, cold cereals, and a variety of warm muffins, coffeecakes and pastries. You may take a breakfast tray to your room, enjoy breakfast with others in the Great Room or lounge in our gazebo or on your own, private deck.
Our Great Room is open 'round the clock. You can watch a movie on the big-screen television, relax with a cup of tea or hot chocolate by the fireplace or play cards or one of the many board games on hand. We also offer bottled water in the Great Room along with a telephone for your use. (Don't forget to bring your calling card for long distance calls. Some cell phones do not have service in Gills Rock!)
The whirlpool is available to our guests from 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. each evening (May through Oct.). The sauna cabin is available all day. For health considerations, small children should NOT go in the whirlpool or the sauna cabin. Older children may enjoy the whirlpool and sauna accompanied by their parent(s).
