In keeping with the era and style of the house, each room is dedicated to one of the French Impressionists. Muse at your leisure over their paintings and their lives. Degas, Pissarro, and Monet have a two-night minimum charge for all weekends. All guest rooms have a two-night minimum charge for Graduation Weekends. All guest rooms have a two-night minimum charge for weekends during the months of July, August, October as well as weekends surrounding major holidays and area events. Any available rooms may be released for a one night stay 25 hours prior to arrival.
Edgar Degas Suite
French artist, acknowledged as the master of drawing the human figure in motion. Degas worked in many mediums, preferring pastel to all others. He is perhaps best known for his paintings, drawings, and bronzes of ballerinas and of race horses. Your stay in the Degas Suite will be one of comfort and luxury. You will find yourself in the most spacious suite in the Mansion. This room, once the Grand Ballroom for the mansion, is now dedicate to the master of drawing the dance. Snuggle up in front of the fire, immerse yourself in the luxurious 2 person whirlpool tub, or dance around, all in the privacy of your own suite. Snuggle up in the fluffy luxurious robes provided for the evening.
French impressionist painter, whose friendship and support provided encouragement for many younger painters. A painter of sunshine and the scintillating play of light, Pissarro produced many quiet rural landscapes and river scenes. He also painted street scenes in Paris, Le Havre, and London. An excellent teacher, he counted among his pupils and associates the French painters, Paul Gauguin and Paul Cézanne. The Pissarro is truly one of the finest suites in the Mansion. Gaze into the beautiful antique marble fireplace lit by beautiful romantic candles while lounging on the luscious king size bed. Relax in the luxurious whirlpool tub in the privacy of your own room. Enjoy your favorite novel in your private bay window sitting room overlooking the garden. If there isn't time to lounge in the whirlpool before you leave for the theater, you have the choice of a huge shower with two built in seats. Everything in this spacious suite speaks of comfort and luxury.

Claude Monet Suite
Perhaps the best known and most widely loved of the French Impressionists, Monet's paintings captured the ever-changing qualities of sunlight in nature. His technique of applying bright, unmixed colors in quick, short strokes became a hallmark of impressionism. Bask in the opulence and luxury of this beautiful ground floor suite. Snuggling together on the Monet love seat, you can enjoy beautiful romantic candles in this beautiful antique carved Italian marble fireplace. Linger in your whirlpool tub, big enough for two, or there is also a large two person shower in your own private bath if you are in a hurry to make the theater on time.
Perhaps the most significant woman artist of the 19th Century. She was a close friend and sister-in-law of Manet who painted the portrait of her that hangs in this room. Snuggle up in front of your private gas fireplace. Relax in the comfort and luxury your king size bed. Enjoy the privacy of your own full bath.
French painter, often called the father of modern art, who strove to develop an ideal synthesis of naturalistic representation, personal expression, and abstract pictorial order. Among the artists of his time, Cézanne perhaps has had the most profound effect on the art of the 20th century. This romantic room will have a profound effect on you when you retreat to your quiet hid-away in the upper corner of the mansion. You will find yourself immersed in the secluded tranquility of this magnificent suite. As evening falls, snuggle up and watch your own fireplace from the comfort of your plush queen size bed. Your own private sitting area is conducive of quiet conversation of relaxed reading. In your immense private bathroom, the two of you can lounge together in the large luxurious whirlpool tub.
Alfred Sisley
French landscape painter, born in Paris of English parents, Alfred Sisley met French artists Claude Monet and Pierre Auguste Renoir, with whom he founded the impressionist school of painting. Although Sisley's work attracted little attention in his lifetime, its importance has since been recognized. Sisley's gentle, idyllic paintings, mainly of scenes near Paris, reveal the influence of French painter Camille Corot, especially in their soft, harmonious colors. You can hide away in this private ground floor room. Snuggle up and read your favorite novel by the fire or enjoy the serenity of the garden outside your window. You will enjoy the privacy of your own bath where you can linger in the luxury of your whirlpool tub.
Pierre Renoir Room
Renoir was noted for his radiant, intimate paintings, particularly of the female nude. Recognized by critics as one of the greatest and most independent painters of his period. Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend or plush conveniences for a mid-week business trip, you will be delighted with this splendid room. Spend a warm wonderful night in the cozy room with its private bath and whirlpool tub.
Edouard Manet Room
French painter, whose work inspired the impressionist style, but who refused to so label his own work. His far-reaching influence on French painting and the general development of modern art was due to his portrayal of everyday subject matter; his use of broad, simple color areas; and a vivid, summary brush technique. You will experience the privacy and opulence of royalty in this richly decorated upper room. The raised floor and high bed gives you the sense that you are cloistered away in your own snug perch above the rest of the mansion. You will enjoy the privacy of your own three quarter bath.
General Guest Arrival: 3 to 6 pm. Call ahead for special arrangements.
Guest Departure: 11 am. Extended departure available for an additional fee.
Breakfast: A full breakfast is served at in the formal dining room at 9 am. Please mention diet restrictions. A "Go" breakfast is available if you are unable to attend the scheduled breakfast time. Breakfast in bed is available for an additional fee. Midweek business travelers enjoy breakfast at their convenience.
Coffee Service: 8:00 am. A Coffee pod machine is available for your convenience.
Baths: All baths are private, in room baths with shower and/or tub.
Phone: House phone available at all times.
TV/Stereo: Rooms do not have TV/VCR/DVD. Rooms do have a CD player with a selection of CDs are available. Select rooms offer TV/VCR on request for our midweek business traveler.
Pets: We are a pet free facility.
Smoking: No smoking in the home. Smoking is permitted on the porches where ashtrays are provided.
Children: Out of consideration for all of our guests, Children 15 and over are welcome. Exceptions are possible midweek. Whole house reservations welcome children of all ages.
Payment: MasterCard, Visa, cash or check. American Express accepted for the convenience of our business travelers.
Two-night minimum: During the months of July, August and October and for all holidays and local events and festivals all rooms have a two night minimum charge and a 14 day advance cancellation limit. Single nights can be reserved if rooms are still available 24 hours or less in advance.
Cancellation Policy:
Reservations are confirmed with a deposit of first night's fees payable via cash or credit card.
General Cancellations require a 14-day notice,
Deposit will be refunded, less $25 processing fee, for cancellations prior to the 14 days.
Cancellations made after the 14 days will forfeit deposit.
Cancellations made after the 14 days are subject to full charges of reservation.
Voicemail and email cancellations will not be accepted. Please speak directly to innkeeper to insure proper communication of plans to cancel reservations.
Cancellation number will be issued to verify cancellation was processed.
No refunds will be made for no shows or early checkouts.
