Be our guest at the Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast, in the heart of Sparta, Wisconsin "The Bicycling Capital of America". The bed & breakfast is located in the Hidden Valleys of southwestern Wisconsin. It is very close to the Elroy-Sparta and other state bike trail, and opportunities for hiking, canoeing, kayaking, Amish Country, restaurants, theaters, golf course, shopping and more. We host Murder Mystery Weekends October thru April.

Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast-Sparta, Wisconsin The warmth of our romantic retreat welcomes you at the door. Built in the early (c.1900s) by a Sparta Banker, Mr. W.G. Williams, this Queen Anne-style bed & breakfast features leaded stained glass window, fireplace, open staircase and other unique architectural features. Inside, you’ll find beautiful antiques, fresh flowers, lace window treatments, wonderful woodwork and decor.

High Speed "Wireless" Internet

Amenities include a scrumptious full breakfast, early evening wine and cheese reception, inside bike storage and shuttles, and the bottomless cookie jar filled with homemade cookies. Book your stay in one of our four elegant and spacious guestrooms today and see for yourself why our bed & breakfast is one of Sparta’s true treasures.

You will awaken to enjoy a healthy breakfast consisting of fresh fruits (in season), homemade muffins, breads or coffeecake, breakfast meat, as well as a hot entrée, juices, coffee or tea. (Special diets may be arranged prior to arrival). The meal is served in the formal dining room with a candle lit table. However, if you prefer a little more privacy, two guest rooms have room service available.

Policies

  • Rates range from $98 to $129 per night. Room rates are for double occupancy. Extra guests are $25 per person. Single person rate is minus $10 per room rate.
  • Reservations are held with a credit card number.
  • Reservations are recommended, but not required.

  • Cancellation Policy
      Regular policy 10 days prior to arrival: Full refund. Please call us to cancel. If you email us, we'll need to send a confirmation email in response. 9 days prior to arrival or less: No refund. We will be pleased to provide you with a non-refundable gift certificate, good for another visit and subject to availability. No shows and early checkouts are subject to full charge.
      Murder Mystery Cancellation Policy:
      ONE MONTH prior to arrival: Full refund. Less than one month prior to arrival: No refund. We will be pleased to provide you with a non-refundable gift certificate, good for another visit and subject to availability.
  • No minimum stay is required, open all year.
  • We are a No Smoking facility.
  • Phone: In keeping with the tranquil atmosphere of a bed and breakfast, our guest rooms do not have phones. There is a "house" phone on the first floor.
  • Children: please inquire.
  • No Guest Pets, please.
  • Check in 3-7 p.m. Check out 11:00 a.m. (unless prior arrangements have been made).
  • Special dietary needs should be brought to our attention at time of reservation.
