A Collection of Eight Distinct Guest Rooms

Historic Building

All guest rooms have queen size beds (see Studio for king-size bed), private baths, and either reading chairs or sofas.

ECOVISTA is a light airy guest room with a complete environmental emphasis from the floors to the fabrics, to the fixtures. Organic cotton sheets and towels, wool carpet, natural tiles, low flow devices and energy-saving fixtures are just some of the features. Ecovista also offers a spectacular tree top view of the Arboretum.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $110; Weekends/Holiday/Event $150

The COZY ROSE is a quaint guest room with an antique bed, pale rose walls, and a beautiful floral pattern on the linens. A natural stone fireplace, velvet reading chair, wet bar and a whirlpool bath add to the romance of this room. A fresh rose is placed in the room to greet you upon arrival.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $110; Weekends/Holiday/Event $150

The PARKSIDE is an inviting first floor guest room filled with the morning and afternoon sunshine. The original pine floor and crisp blue and white linens add to this room's warmth and charm. A few of the furnishings would delight any antique aficionado.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $110; Weekends/Holiday/Event $150

The TAP ROOM was once a popular tavern in which carriage travelers stopped for spirits and then danced upstairs. Plaids, brass fixtures, furnishings and a hexagonal fish tank create a nautical theme. The stove fireplace and wet bar complete this spacious and comfortable guest room.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $175; Weekends/Holiday/Event $230

The STUDIO is a bright and expansive environment with a prairie influence. A cathedral ceiling, skylights and a natural linens on a king-size bed comprise the former art studio of UW Professor Stebbins. Separating the suite's two rooms is an original exposed brick wall. Guests can retreat to the bath's skylit whirlpool tub and then unwind in front of the stove fireplace.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $175; Weekends/Holiday/Event $230

Annex Building

A sustainably designed building, the Annex features a soaring great room with massive recycled Douglas fir timbers, an open staircase, and a high-efficiency, wood-burning hearth. The spectacular Annex guest rooms offer natural furnishings and textures, queen-size beds with organic and wool mattresses, cable TV, VCRs, stereo systems, natural bath robes, and spacious whirlpool tubs. The rooms are named after prominent leaders from Madison’s past who have worked to preserve and protect our natural environment.

John Nolen The JOHN MUIR is for the rugged, wilderness traveler in search of more comfortable surroundings. Complete with vaulted ceilings, a pine sleigh bed, rich plaid linens, and a big, comfy lodge chair. Even the balcony is among the trees.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $175; Weekends/Holiday/Event $230

The ALDO LEOPOLD is soft and romantic with a poster bed, chapel ceiling, wildflower linens and an antique maple vanity. Enjoy the view of the Arboretum from the balcony or bring nature up close with the binoculars.
Weekdays (SUN-THURS) $175; Weekends/Holiday/Event $230

The JOHN NOLEN (pictured above) showcases design with sustainability in mind. An iron bed, a futon couch, natural linens, recycled floor tile and twig furniture create a simple, but elegant experience. A private patio is also at your doorstep.
