Arbor House is a national, award-winning inn and model for sustainable tourism. Located across the street from the University of Wisconsin Arboretum, the 1800's landmark and recent Annex addition are surrounded by native gardens and mature trees. The inn's original wood floors, natural stone fireplaces and dramatic great room are just some of the features admired by visitors today.

Arbor House blends historic features with modern amenities and an environmental emphasis. The inn showcases resource-efficient architecture, interior design, energy and water use, landscaping and inn operations while providing opportunities for recreation and learning more about urban ecology. Eight distinct guest rooms, five with whirlpool tubs. All with either a natural or historic decor or a creative blend of both. The inn has Trek mountain bikes and offers free canoeing on Lake Wingra. The inn is ideal for a getaway wtih friends, family reunion or business retreat.
