An idyllic island retreat – just minutes by ferry from Seattle, Tacoma or the Olympic Peninsula.

Accommodations

Two of the cottages, the Nest (1 Bdrm) and the Bird Blind (Studio), are perched on a bluff with the island's most spectacular views of Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier and the Cascades. It is a quiet spot with mature landscaping surrounded by several hundred acres of field and forest. The deer and birds (49 species in a week) come to visit. Fruits and berries are abundant. When you hike to the shore below you will discover several miles of open beach, a dock, and a turn of the century lighthouse. "It would be hard to imagine a more delightful get-away-from-it-all spot than the Nest."

Three of our cottages, the Blue Jay (2 Bdrm), the Lady Bug (Studio), and Golf Course Hollow (1 Bdrm), are clustered on an acre across the road from the Vashon Golf and Country Club. Taken together they can sleep 4 couples and some children for a family reunion.

Edson House (3 Bdrm, 2 Ba), our two story Victorian restoration in the Village of Burton, has views of Quartermaster Harbor (pictured above). Only one block to the beach and a good restaurant, it is "perfect for a small group retreat or a family reunion". It is furnished with antique oak furniture and colorful oriental carpets, has a full kitchen. One of it's bathrooms is graced with a 5-1/2 foot clawfooted tub.
