Rose Cottage is a lovely, romantic, private, stand alone cottage
just waiting for the two of you......

Retreat and refresh for a few days, a week or a month in your own private guest house bed and breakfast, located between Seattle & Tacoma Washington, within walking distance to the waters of Puget Sound at Dash Point State Park. This very whimsical cottage is extremely romantic with its large double Jacuzzi and shower for two, the plush queen bed and a cozy love seat to snuggle up on in front of the crackling fire.

The Garden library, featuring hand-painted murals, offers a place to sit and relax, write letters or conduct business on your laptop. A Stereo CD/radio player is located in this room for your enjoyment. Music also plays through speakers in the luxurious bath.
Choose a book from the library, watch a movie, or enjoy the gardens and nature from the front porch swing. Each morning indulge in a wonderful breakfast prepared by the Innkeepers and delivered to your enchanting kitchen for you to enjoy in privacy. Relax on the charming living room love seat in front of the gas burning fireplace, to warm you in the evening hours. TV, DVD, VCR are available for your entertainment. Catch up with your business associates using the new wireless internet access from Rose Cottage.
Step out onto the romantic covered front porch and sit in the porch swing. Enjoy your evening or morning coffee and munch on fresh homemade cookies while viewing the garden with all its various fragrant roses and perennials.
The whimsical kitchen is decorated in the Mary Engelbreit style, with retro furniture and appliances of days gone by. Juice, water and a variety of soft drinks await you in the "Red" refrigerator for your pleasure. Fresh ground coffee & tea await your hand when you wish. Wonderful fresh cookies or brownies are also available. The 50's style kitchen is fully equipped with a range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and blender for your use.
The Innkeepers
Myrna and Bill Casey together made the Rose Cottage Guest house Bed and Breakfast what it is today. Bill a carpenter and Myrna an artist and decorator, made for the perfect team creating this award winning establishment. Myrna is an avid gardener, her favorite garden flowers are roses and the old fashioned perennials of her Grandmother's day. There are over a hundred roses of different types planted on the property from Old Garden scented roses to Hybrid Teas. Other interests of hers includes Genealogy (be sure and ask her where there are resources locally to research) and decorative painting of which you will find many areas of Rose Cottage done in her whimsical and romantic styles.
Myrna is also active in many organizations such as Emerald City artisans, a stencil and decorative painter's chapter of the Stencil Artisans League Inc., a national organization. She volunteers for St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary, is a member of Points Historical Society and has belonged to various garden clubs. Bill the other half of the Rose Cottage Innkeepers, keeps busy with building and remodeling, his main interest lies in finish carpentry, and the building of fine clocks and furniture. He also enjoys gardening and keeps the lawns well manicured. His special interest is the study of Civil War history. The Casey's live in their home on the same property as the Rose Cottage Guest House, they look forward to having you as their guests.
Area Information
Rose Cottage Guest House is located in the historical area of Dash Point, Tacoma, Washington. Close to Sea-Tac Airport, Island Ferries, beaches, parks, theaters, antique malls and the city of Federal Way. The city of Seattle and all it has to offer is only a 30 minute drive north.
Fine restaurants are close by and we will be happy to make lunch or dinner reservations for your enjoyment. Mt. Rainier looms to our East, Mt. Saint Helens to the South and the Islands of Puget Sound are just a ferry's ride away. Boating, Golfing, Swimming, Skiing and Hiking are just a few of the activities you have at your finger tips. Or simply stay at home and enjoy the garden.
