Montesano is a city in Grays Harbor County. One of the famous events held in the city is the Harvest Celebration. Two specific tours are the most popular aspects of this celebration. The Farm Tour travels through three distinctly different farms, each offering visitors something that they are not likely to run across everyday. The Burritt Museum Guild hosts the Monte Sano Homes, which features some of the most historically famous and most beautiful houses in the city. Bordering along the northern edge of the town is Lake Sylvia State Park. The park is located in dense boreal forest. The park offers swimming, hiking, camping, fishing and boating options for everyone in the family. You can enjoy the rustic, outdoors activities that Lake Sylvia State Park has to offer and also enjoy the restful peace offered at a nearby Montesano bed and breakfast, B&B or Montesano inn. An important feature of the town is the 1911 Grays Harbor County Courthouse, a three-story structure with a domed tower. The interior features murals of local history. Not to be missed is the dent in the front door made by the Sheriff as he fired at a fleeing felon. Pizza lovers have the option of dining at Gepetto's Pizza as well as Grabba Pizza and Sandwich Shop. At the same time, the town do offer some splendid options for complete family outing such as at Pioneer Restaurant and Family Cook House.
