Montesano is a city in Grays Harbor County. One of the famous events held in the city are Montesano's Harvest Celebration. The main draw to this celebration are the farm and forest tours. The Farm Tour will travel through three distinctly different farms, each offering the visitor something that they are not likely to run across everyday. The Burritt Museum Guild hosts the Monte Sano Homes which features few of the most famous (historically) and most beautiful houses in the city. Bordering along the northern edge of the town is Lake Sylvia State Park. The park is located in dense boreal forest, almost temperate rain forest. The park offers swimming, hiking, camping, fishing, and boating. You can enjoy the rustic, outdoors activities that Lake Sylvia State Park has to offer and enjoy the restful peace offered at a nearby Montesano bed and breakfast, B&B or Montesano inn. A prominent feature of the town is the 1911 Grays Harbor County Courthouse. This is a three-story structure with a domed tower. The interior features murals of local history. Not to be missed is the dent in the front door made by the Sheriff as he fired at a fleeing felon. Pizza lovers have the option of dining at Gepetto's Pizza as well as Grabba Pizza and Sandwich Shop. At the same time, the town do offer some splendid options for complete family outing such as at Pioneer Restaurant and Family Cook House.
