a subtle yet unmistakable feeling of love and pride permeates Domaine Madeleine.
When you turn in for the night, relax in front of your fireplace after watching a movie or unwinding in your whirlpool or simply drift off to sleep while listening to the music of your choice. When you wake up you will walk into the main dining room which has floor to ceiling windows and experience a 5-course gourmet breakfast while gazing at the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Victoria, the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker. The menu may include poached pears or oranges and grapefruit marinated in vanilla bean syrup, fresh-baked petite baguettes and croissants served with an assortment of local and European cheeses and jams. The entrees may include baked salmon, apple crepes, or spanikopita served with fresh asparagus, Italian tomatoes, honey-baked ham or turkey sausage stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes. The dessert may include Crème Brûlé or exotic black rice pudding. There is much to do at Domaine Madeleine. Stroll through the exquisite gardens including Monet's "Petite Allees" replica, a rose garden and a bamboo forest. Play a game of chess in the living room with a 15' basalt fireplace, vaulted ceiling, Asian and French antiques and windows overlooking both the Monet garden and Strait of Juan de Fuca. Or just simply curl-up with a good book while waiting for whales and eagles to appear. Surrounding activities are endless. The ferry to Victoria, British Columbia is just minutes away, as are the Olympic National Park, Dungeness Wildlife Refuge, golf courses, Sol Duc Hot Springs, Hoh Rain Forest, Lake Crescent, the Makah Tribe Museum, and the Pacific Ocean beaches. The staff will be happy to help plan an exciting get-away. Experience a passion for fine living at Domaine Madeleine.
