There's a great article on the Dungeness Spit in the March 2006 issue of Coastal Living magazine (also features our inn). One of the longest natural sandbars in the world, the Dungeness Spit is home to the amazing Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge -- more than 330 species of birds, mammals, fish, reptiles & amphibians can be found here.

This special weekend package includes two nights luxury accommodations at the Lodge, 4-hour kayak tour for two (with all your gear, kayaks, and guide), a tasty box lunch, and bottled water/juices for the trip.

You'll paddle five miles out to the lighthouse (built in 1857), land your kayaks among seals, take a walking tour of the lighthouse with lunch under the sun, and paddle back to the launch site (approximately 4 hours). Then pamper your muscles with a steaming soak in the Lodge's hydrotherapy spa under the stars!
