Introduction
The Green Cat Bed and Breakfast is a large Norwegian-style chalet on three acres of cedars, firs, and garden orchard, in a secluded valley of horse, llama and sheep farms, and mountain vistas.
We are located 4 miles north of Poulsbo, with easy access to Bainbridge Island and Seattle Ferry, Historic Port Gamble, Victorian Port Townsend, Kingston, Silverdale, the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park. Our area includes boating, fishing, hiking, shopping, great restaurants, world-class arts and crafts.
An extended complimentary breakfast, with locally baked fresh breads and pastries, cereals, fruits, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice is served each morning.
All rooms have access to our common area, which features a fully-equipped kitchen and large eating area, washer/dryer, and reading nook/ library. Hot tub and Finnish sauna facilities on premises, available by reservation. Two night minimum on weekends June-Sept. Breakfast included. Children over ten welcome. Non-smoking. no pets please.
Master Suite
The Master Suite, surrounded by giant cedars and an Olympic Mountain backdrop has a king bed with plush down bedding, a private entrance and deck, crackling fireplace, cable tv/dvd, wireless web, a sleigh daybed-sofa at the gabled picture window, cast iron stove, vintage arts and crafts desk and bureau, en suite wood-paneled bath with large elegant victorian clawfoot tub/shower, coffee-tea maker, plush robes. Sleeps up to three - $20 for third person. $125 (Oct-April); $135 (May-Sep). The Orchard Suite with its rich warm color palette has a queen bed with down and quilted bedding, private bath, sitting area with large picture window overlooking the orchard and garden with the backdrop of the Olympic mountains, arts and crafts desk and bureau, wireless web, cast iron stove, coffee-tea maker, spa robes. Two night minimum on weekends June-Sept. Maximum occupancy: 2 persons, Adults Only. $115 (Oct.-April); $120 (May-Sep.)
The Green Gable Suite in deep green and soft butter yellow is your nest on the top floor high among the cedars with orchard and Olympic Mountain views, private bath, queen bed with plush down bedding, 16 ft vaulted ceiling, gabled picture window with daybed/sofa, cast iron stove, wi-fi, coffee/tea maker, and spa robes. (*Can be rented with the Lavender Room @ $85, which would reserve the whole top floor, making a two-bedroom suite, and would share the bath - the Lavender Room is not online, - make a note on your Green Gable reservation that you want to reserve the Lavender Room as well. *We don’t rent the Lavender Room unless requested.) Sleeps up to three, $20 for third person. $99 (Oct.-April); $109 (May-Sep.) The Green Cat Guest Quarters (top two floors of our 4-story house, 2300 sq.ft.) are available as a Vacation Rental. We are a ferry ride (1/2 hr) from downtown Seattle and Pike Market, and centally located to access Bainbridge Island, the gorgeous victorian town of Port Townsend with its ferry to Whidby Island ("Snow Falling on Cedars"), Olympic National Park, the ferries to Victoria, B.C, and Vancouver at Port Angeles, and an hour from the Cascade Mountain Range.
Kitsap Peninsula itself, nestled between the waterways of Puget Sound and the Hood Canal, offers an array of activities, - boating, fishing, kayaking, hiking, birding, shopping in Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island, great museums, local craft artisans, world class restaurants and much MUCH more!
