Introduction

Commander's Beach House, originally built in 1934 in the Colonial Revival Style, was intended as the residence for the Commanding Medical Officer of the U.S. Quarantine Station maintained here at Point Hudson. Over the years, as the property changed hands, a number of Coast Guard, Navy, and Army Commanding Officers and their families have occupied this gracious home. Now a delightful beach house, this handsome seaside retreat offers a truly memorable experience to visitors from around the world. Its rich maritime heritage, combined with 2,000 feet of scenic, unspoiled Admiralty Inlet beach, provides a perfect setting for a romantic getaway or an adventurous holiday.
