Introduction
Port Townsend's Blue Gull Inn, an Olympic Peninsula bed and breakfast, was built in 1868, with some great added features like our huge front porch added around the turn of the century. Our charming Inn is located in the historic Uptown District of Port Townsend, and is conveniently located to shops, dining and waterfront - perfect for a weekend getaway.
The Blue Gull Inn bed and breakfast features six individually decorated guest rooms, each with private bath, and two rooms with whirlpool tubs in their extra large bathrooms. Robes and bath amenities are provided. We also provide wireless internet at the Inn.
We love Port Townsend and so will you! Thinking of relocating? John is also a real estate broker with John L. Scott and can help with all your real estate needs, visit his real estate site.
The Blue Gull Port Townsend Inn is appropriately named for the many Blue Gulls that sit atop the gabled roof and wait for the leftovers from breakfast! Along with one of Port Townsend's oldest and largest trees, a giant Monterey Cypress, this grand old home has long been a gem in the heart of Port Townsend's Historical Uptown District.
Our parlor is always available for our guests to relax and enjoy a homemade cookie or other special treat and cup of tea or coffee, read a book, chat with Innkeeper's about things to do in the area or look over the local restaurant menu's we keep on hand. Our favorite local restaurant is Lanza's Italian!
The lovely gardens are a great place to relax on warm afternoons or enjoy the cooler evenings sitting around the campfire with friends! We have regular visits from the locals: raccoons, deer, squirrels and eagles are just some of the "perks" of living in beautiful Port Townsend! Jin & Eddie are the resident pooches, and they love to spend the day in a sunny garden visiting with guests.

We do a variety of full country style breakfasts each morning at 9:00, including fruit, juice and coffee. We have freshly baked breads, muffins (Pumpkin Chocolate Chip are one our favorites!) and the best scones this side of the Puyallup Fair! Vegetarian or light eater? No problem, we serve our big breakfast's family style, always accompanied by fruit and muffins, so you may pick and choose.
We have ever changing entrees, including things like Blueberry Crepes, Pecan Praline French, Toast, Apple & Pecan pancake, Veggie Omelets, Fresh Fruit topped Waffles and South-of-the-Border Green Chili Quiche. These can be accompanied by Cajun Style hash browns, Cottage Potato casserole or Fried Grits.
We like to make sure you get enough to eat before you head out for your day on the town! Warmth and hospitality await you in the large dining room with the garden view. This lovely room has a 12 foot dining table and will seat 12 to 14 people, and makes a great area for meetings, retreats and group gatherings.
Our Port Townsend Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful base camp while exploring the Olympic Peninsula. Please call us if you have any questions on events or things to do in Port Townsend. With the Olympic Mountains on one side and Port Townsend Bay on the other, the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north and access to both salt and fresh water bodies, Port Townsend is a unique location for recreational opportunities.
In town are many easily accessible city parks to enjoy for picnics, play or quiet reflection. Three State Parks, with two more nearby, and marine access round out the possibilities. A short distance away reside Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest. Hood Canal and the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary are also close by. Cycling, hiking, beachcombing, sailing and the annual Rhody Run...there's much to do.
