Introduction
The Anchorage Inn Bed and Breakfast is a Victorian Inn, located on beautiful Whidbey Island, in Puget Sound. The Anchorage Inn is located in the historic town of Coupeville, overlooking picturesque Penn Cove. Coupeville was home to many of the Northwest's sea captains during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Many historic homes still grace the streets of this North Whidbey town. The majority of the seven lavishly appointed rooms provide splendid views of the cove, waterfront buildings, rolling hills on Whidbey Island, nearby Camano Island, and 10,700 foot Mt. Baker.
There is much to do while you are enjoying your stay on Whidbey Island including bicycling, hiking, bird watching, boating, fishing, exploring gardens, horseback riding, visiting parks, wineries, and shopping. Other nearby attractions and activities include kayaking, visiting Deception Pass Bridge and State Park, Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve, Whidbey Tours, Mariti Chocolate Company, and Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens.
At the Anchorage Inn Bed and Breakfast, all rooms include private bathrooms, cable television, HBO, VCR, telephone, comfortable chairs, and hi-speed wireless internet access in most rooms. Our rates include a sumptuous full breakfast for two which includes fresh seasonal fruit, a variety of breads, juice, coffee, and tea, as well as the breakfast entree chosen each day from Dianne's twelve year collection of the finest recipes. All of this is served at your leisure in the dining room at either 8:30 or 9:30 AM. Early risers are treated to fresh baked goodies, coffee, and tea. Special diets can be accommodated if we are notified in advance.
Enjoy a video movie from our collection (or bring your own) in your room, and snack on our ever-present cookies, popcorn, and beverages in the dining room, relax on our 128-foot wraparound porch, or visit with fellow guests. Bikes are available for you to borrow. A rollaway bed is available for an extra person (rooms 1, 3, 5, and 7 only).
