Lisa and Mike purchased the Weathertop Lodge in October 2003. We were long-term property owners in Vermont's Mad River Valley, and finally decided to call it our home. Our love for The Valley started with downhill skiing, and quickly progressed to include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and cycling. The spectrum of recreational activities is incredible! The Valley also has much more than postcard scenery and tranquil surroundings - the sense of community is addicting.

Our other passions are world travel, scuba diving, and cooking (OK, eating too...), as often as possible and as much as we can afford! We also love to hear travel tales from our guests, as this is an excellent way to plan future trips. Our love of travel is reflected in the many items displayed around the inn , and it is also apparent in our menu selection. During our last assignments in Corporate America, we worked and lived as expatriates for several years in Singapore. This gave us a tremendous opportunity to experience Asia firsthand. We will always have some Southeast Asian dishes on our dinner menu, if just to recall fond memories of those days. Don't worry though - we won't use spicy chilis or savory curries in your morning pancakes!
