Weathertop Mountain Inn is centrally located in Vermont's Mad River Valley, home to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Ski Resorts. We are situated on Route 17, just one mile from the intersection with scenic Route 100 in Waitsfield, and minutes from skiing or golf. For those who wish to be even closer to the skiing action, we offer a Slopeside Condominium in the Mountainside Condo Complex at Sugarbush Lincoln Peak Ski Resort.

The Mad River Valley is a year-round recreation hub for downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, birdwatching, fishing, horseback riding, soaring, golf and tennis. AND DON'T FORGET FALL LEAF PEEPING. Nowhere in New England are the autumn colors more brilliant! It's all here in a four-season destination that is a true Vermont treasure.

The inn is set well off the road and is nestled among a forested hillside, manicured lawns, and lush perennial gardens - perfect for viewing the resident birds and wildlife. For even more outdoor serenity, our on-site trailhead allows easy access to miles of recreational paths, perfect for hiking or snowshoeing.

Our location is close to many quaint village shops in Waitsfield and Warren, delectable restaurants, and a host of services you'll be pleasantly surprised to find in such a rural setting. Other area attractions include Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, The Bundy Center for the Arts, Trapp Family Lodge, Shelburne Museum, Green Mountain Audubon Center, Cabot Creamery, UVM Morgan Horse Farm, and much, much more. We're also within easy reach of Burlington, Montpelier, Middlebury, Waterbury, Northfield and Stowe. Weekend Getaway Package
Need some time to unwind? Want to get away from it all, if just for a few days? Let us help, in any season! While you will have to decide how best to relax and have fun, we can take care of everything else. Start off with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine on Friday evening. Follow this up with a full breakfast on Saturday morning. Go out and play for the day, then return to a 4-course dinner with a select bottle of wine. To ensure you don't leave hungry, we also provide a full breakfast on Sunday morning. Want a really interesting dining experience? Consider upgrading your package to our Asian Dining Adventure. Can't get away for the weekend because your off days are midweek? Not to fear! We offer this special anytime, and our midweek rate is even lower! With everything the Mad River Valley has to offer, we're sure to see you again! Weathertop is pleased to offer the following weekend getaway package to our guests: $362 per couple per weekend Asian Dining Adventure Upgrade: $10 per couple. Christmas Day Dinner Special
Whether you have spent the day with family unwrapping presents, skiing in the Mad River Valley, or both, join us at Weathertop for a holiday dining special that will make your day complete. Start with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by our house salad, your choice of entree from our nightly menu, and finish off with your choice of dessert. This 3-course evening is price fixed at $25 per person, excluding tax. Appetizers and additional beverages may be purchased at an extra charge. You'll need some serious skiing the next day to begin working it off!

Christmas Eve Dinner Special
Whether you are in the Mad River Valley to celebrate the Christmas Holiday, or just here to get away from the bustling crowds and enjoy some skiing or other outdoor activities, join us at Weathertop for a holiday dining extravaganza. Start with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by our house salad, your choice of entree from our nightly menu, and finish off with your choice of dessert. This 3-course evening is price fixed at $24 per person, excluding tax. Appetizers and additional beverages may be purchased at an extra charge. By the end of the evening, you just may be too full to have visions of sugar plums dancing in your head.

New Year's Eve Dinner Special
Ring in the New Year at Weathertop Mountain Inn! After skiing away the last day of the year in our splendid Green Mountains, join us for a dining experience not to be missed. Our International Culinary Feast will cover select offerings from Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, South America and North America. Start with a glass of sparkling wine and a spectacular appetizer medley covering all four regions of the globe. Follow this with a creative and flavorful soup, our house salad and your choice of entree from our international selection. Complete this dining adventure with your choice of dessert from our homemade selections. And just think, no passport was required! In a few hours, it will be time to begin that weight loss resolution for the New Year... This 5-course culinary adventure is price fixed at $50 per person, excluding tax. Beverages may be purchased at an additional charge.

Our spacious Great Room is the heart of the inn, and the gathering place for evening relaxation and conversation. It boasts a beautiful fieldstone fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, a piano, a guitar, TV/DVD/VCR/stereo with digital cable, and a collection of classic movies. Ponder world travel, and possible destinations for your next vacation, while studying our collection of Asian art & antiques. Enjoy a bottle of wine from our extensive cellar while lounging by a crackling fire, socialize with friends and other guests, play some music, read a book, play a boardgame, or do absolutely nothing!

For those who need a little sporting challenge to round out their evening, it's a quick flight of stairs up to our Game Room & Library! Try your hand at billiards, foosball, or darts. We also have a large selection of classic board games and jigsaw puzzles for all ages. As in the Great Room, our Game Room comes complete with plenty of comfortable seating, ceiling fans, and a TV/DVD/VCR/surround sound system with digital cable. For our "40-something" guests, we have a turntable to spin our collection of classic albums and 45s - those licorice pizzas popular before the advent of 8-tracks (remember those beauties?), cassettes, CDs, MP3s and iPods...

This is also a great place to curl up with a good book. Relax in a rocking chair by our large and cozy fireplace in the Library. Our Library has an extensive collection of books of virtually every genre. We also maintain a selection of the latest magazines. Catch up on some long-overdue reading, explore a new topic of interest, or simply relax and chat with friends!

After a strenuous day in the Mad River Valley, whether skiing the Green Mountains, kayaking the Mad River, hiking the Long Trail, or biking on numerous country roads, our state-of-the-art Jacuzzi® hot tub will soothe those aching muscles. It comfortably accommodates four guests in individually controlled seats with custom jets. Put on your bathing suit, grab one of our soft robes from your room, and make your way down to our spa. No need to bring a towel. We have plenty of them near the hot tub. You can also melt away any of life's concerns in our Finnish-style two-person sauna. On winter afternoons, deer can sometimes be seen just outside the patio doors. Unfortunately, that usually means they're eating our bird seed or grazing on our shrubs...
