Introduction
Welcome to Our Holm!
Overlooking the beautiful Worcester Mountain range, and only a quick turn away from the traffic of Stowe's Mountain Road, the Timberholm could be everything you're looking for in an authentic Vermont country inn.
Plan a Stowe Vacation in ANY Season...
Stowe has many activities for any time of year -- you can tour Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, visit Cold Hollow Cider Mill, hike, bike, shop and relax or watch maple syrup being boiled in March and April. Winter vacations can be to ski or can include other seasonal recreation like ice skating, romantic sleigh rides, guided snowshoe tours and spa facilities. Of course you can just curl up by one of our fireplaces with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book!
Our lodge, built in 1949, retains a pre-hustle-bustle ambiance that your guests find most relaxing. The Timberholm's exterior is rustic, weathered cedar trimmed in hunter green. The interior floors and walls are rich, knotty pine, lending warmth that only come from natural wood.
Please join us for an eventful stay in Stowe any time of year. We would love to have you as guests.
The Great Room (pictured above right) is a spacious, comfortable and attractively appointed sunny place... with large windows covering two walls, a huge fieldstone fireplace, two separate sitting/conversational areas and shelves of books. The outside deck (pictured above left) is wonderful on sunny winter days. Downstairs, the gameroom is always at the ready for a friendly game of shuffleboard or darts. There is cable TV and VCR with recent movies. We've provided a refrigerator and plenty of ice to chill the goodies you've brought from home. There is also a special room for ski gear.
Breakfast is special at the Timberholm... Our serve-yourself buffet changes every morning and holds such treats as fresh fruit, cereals and granola, muffins, coffee cake or specialty breads, yogurt and a unique gourmet egg or French toast dish, served with real butter and famous Vermont maple syrup. There is plenty of orange juice and a never-empty pot of our own personal blend of hot coffee.
And after an active day of...cross country or downhill skiing, hiking or biking, you can relax and warm up by the roaring fire with a bowl of soup and a cup of hot tea. You can also soak those tired muscles in our outdoor hot tub.
