Located in the small town of Jamaica at the base of Stratton Mountain. Jamaica is located 26 miles north of Brattleboro and 20 miles southeast of Manchester on scenic Vermont Routes 30 and 100, easily accessible to both Boston and New York being three and four hours respectively from each.
Southern Vermont is the ideal destination for a weekend trip for those living in the Boston, New York and Hartford metropolitan areas. The immediate region around the Three Mountain Inn is full of the things that make Vermont famous and bring visitors to the area year round.
Nearby villages such as Weston, Chester, Newfane and Grafton are treasure troves of antique shops, art galleries, museums, historic sites and fine country dining establishments. In Summer and Fall the area abounds with flea markets, country fairs and farmers markets, live theater, concerts, crafts shows and antique festivals.
Also in close proximity to the Three Mountain Inn are Stratton, Bromley, Mt. Snow and Magic Mountain Ski areas.
Cross country skiers can ski the Sun Bowl at Stratton where trails range from flat stretches for beginners to more difficult trails for advanced skiers.
The posh Tater Hill Country Club in nearby Chester offers a wide variety of cross-country trails and has one of the finest golf courses in Southern Vermont.
The skiing, tennis and golf available at Stratton Mountain just 10 miles from the Inn are unquestionably world class as is the shopping in nearby Manchester.
Best of all, however, for many of the Inn's guests, is the Three Mountain Inn's proximity to the entrance to Jamaica State Park which is located just a short walk, bike, hike or ski down the street from the Inn just past the village skating rink. There is a novice trail that goes in both directions and a more exciting trail that goes upstream over two brooks (one with a water fall above). Ten kilometers in all offering dramatic vistas of high ledgy mountains that drop precipitously into the valley below. It's no wonder the fireplaces are kept blazing at the Three Mountain Inn all winter to welcome back outdoor-oriented guests.
Conveniently located the Inn is on Vermont's scenic Routes 30 and 100, between the towns of Brattleboro, known as the gateway to Vermont, and historic Manchester Village, a picturesque village as well as an outlet shoppers Mecca.
The Inn's two buildings and two cottages are set peacefully among the Green Mountains of Vermont, looking over the woodlands and trails of Jamaica State Park and five miles from famed Stratton Mountain Ski Area.
Welcome!
The Three Mountain Inn is all about you.
The innkeepers, David & Stacy Hiler (pictured above), have just purchased the Inn in July of 1999. Despite their years, the Hilers are veterans of the hospitality industry from the Restaurant end of the business, but they are also no strangers to Inns & Bed & Breakfasts, having worked at numerous Inns in and around Vermont. David continues to be an associate at Oates & Bredfeldt, in Brattleboro, Vermont, the consultants to the Inn trade.
Together, with a young and talented staff, the Hilers are out to provide a comfortable relaxed atmosphere, with exceptional food in a romantic yet casual setting, an excellent wine list and elegantly furnished rooms, suites and cottages with luxury beds, fireplaces, balconies, and whirlpool tubs. The Inn has a sense of luxury and history, with wide-planked walls known as "King's Wood" and three original fireplaces on the main floor.
Our staff is dedicated to the fulfillment of your desires, and the creation of pleasures you may not know existed. Our rooms are all appointed with luxurious linens, period pieces and beautiful bedding. Many have fireplaces while some have private decks, whirlpool tubs and TV/VCRs. Rates are for two, with full breakfast, afternoon refreshments and scintillating service.
The Inn will continue the tradition of fine food created by the previous owners. However, Chef William Hollinger is starting his own traditions at the Three Mountain Inn, creating diverse menus for a variety of palates with styles ranging from his twist on traditional French cuisine to authentic Regional Indian and Southeastern specialties. Fine dining with original wood-burning fireplaces is set in two intimate but casual dining rooms.
Our "Snug Pub", warmed by a beautiful Vermont Castings gas stove, is stocked with local and imported beers and a fine list of cognacs, ports, scotches and liqueurs. If you are planning a visit to us, please don't miss an opportunity to dine with us in one of our intimate dining rooms and remember to make reservations in advance.
The ground level Library, which seats 30, is entered from the living room through French doors and when not in use by small functions, it is another quiet area of the Inn in which to relax by the fire or play a game of cards, cribbage or scrabble.
David, Stacy and the entire Staff look forward to showing you The Three Mountain Inn located in Jamaica -- The Heart of Southern Vermont.
