 Middlebury, Vermont (VT) Bed and Breakfast: The buildings that comprise the Swift House Inn today are the product of over a century of adaptation to the needs of the Swift and Stewart families that lived here from 1815 until 1981. The original portion of the Main House was built by Samuel Swift (1782-1875) in 1814 when he was at the beginning of a long career of public service.

weddings The Inn is home to a number of special occasions throughout the year. From family reunions to weddings to anniversaries and birthdays, the Swift House Inn is creating new traditions every day. The Inn also hosts a number of meetings and retreats in the Carriage House conference facility.

The Inn is an elegant and intimate choice for weddings and receptions. The gardens and grounds create a romantic backdrop for your very special day. Menus tailored to suit your tastes are easily created with gourmet cuisine by the Inn's culinary team. Our dining rooms can accommodate parties of up to 60 guests. Outside in our formal gardens, we can provide seating for up to 200 guests under peaked tents.

Holidays are special times throughout the year when traditions are formed and strengthened. The Inn is now the home for many holiday celebrations in Vermont and we would love to see you here. Please let us know how we can customize a party, reunion or special dinner for you and your family.
