The Inn is an 1890 Queen Anne Victorian home. From the moment you enter the Inn you are drawn to the original detailing and craftsmanship of the woodwork. The home has been tastefully decorated within the past 5 years in Bradford, Laura Ashley and Waverly wallpapers.
With wallpaper, handmade oriental rugs and fringe lamps, the Living Room shows the woodworking craftsmanship of the 1800s with the intricate fretwork and moldings. The large windows, high ceilings and stained glass make this room very inviting.
Handmade oriental rugs, period furniture and stained glass adorn the Library/Parlor. This is an additional place for guests to relax when not in their room or enjoying the gardens outside.
The Dining Room has the original inlaid cabinetry and original stained glass window which greet guests as they arrive for a hearty Vermont breakfast. One can't help but get the feeling of the romantic Victorian era while dining. Currently there is seating for 14 at one time. There is a spectacular inlaid herringbone design wood floor, which is a very special unique feature to the inn.
The property consists of the inn, a large carriage barn, extensive gardens and a parking lot to the side. There is 15,000 square feet of magnificent gardens and walkways, which grace this magnificent home.
A 3,000 gallon fish pond with a cascading waterfall creates a tranquil area for guests of the inn to relax and read. From here stone walkways wind through the wonderful gardens with benches and areas to hold special gatherings as well as weddings for up to 150 people. The rear lawn has a large area for tents. In all there is approximately 1.8 acres with 154+/- feet of road frontage on Route 15.
