Holiday Open House Weekends (08/08/2009 thru 12/14/2009)
Once again we are participating in the Annual Holiday Open House Tours to benefit the Vermont-New Hampshire Komen Race for the Cure, to be held on December 5 and 12 of this year. We are inviting you to see our halls all decked out and join us for a special Vermont experience - an event not to be missed. Between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. tour the participating properties all decorated for the holidays.

As part of your admission price to this event, you will receive from Ormsby Hill a "pink" bag filled with special offers from local businesses to help with your holiday shopping. Some examples: discount certificates from Orvis, Northshire Bookstore, Northeastern Fine Jewelry, Susan Sargent, Equinox Valley Nursery, Green Door Day Spa, Christmas Days, and many, many more.

Also, only at Ormsby Hill during the tours, join us for a Vermont cheese-tasting event, featuring award-winning cheeses from Consider Bardwell, Taylor Farm, Woodcock Farm and Maple Brook Farm. You may also purchase cheese and signed copies of Ellen Ecker Ogden's "The Vermont Cheese Cookbook". All of this while listening to holiday music provided by an ensemble from Burr and Burton Academy.

Stay Friday and Saturday evenings either of those weekends (12/4 and 5, or 12/11 and 12) -- and our holiday gift to you will be a third-evening on us (Thursday or Sunday). By staying three evenings, you will be rested and rejuvanated while you get a head start on that holiday shopping. Share the festivities at Ormsby Hill. This package may not be combined with any other promotions or offers.

Celebrate Thanksgiving (11/24/2009 thru 11/29/2009)
We truly love Thanksgiving ? after all, it?s a food holiday. But what we like most about Thanksgiving are those fabulous leftovers. So, we have an amazing offer for our guests - stay with us for any three evenings (checking in either November 25, 26 or 27), and we will cook you a left-over dinner (for FREE!!) on Friday evening featuring Turkey Pot Pie, Vermont artisan breads, Chris's famous Squash Pie and Chocolate Pecan Pie. Just think, after spending Black Friday shopping, you will come back to our cozy home, put your slippers on, and enjoy a relaxing evening having dinner with us (served at 6:30 p.m.). This offer may not be combined with any other offers.

The Ultimate in Romance
Romance packages: We hope you already find our rooms romantic with jacuzzis for two, canopy beds, fireplaces - and of course, those rubber ducks and friends - but we're going to make it even more special for an anniversary, honeymoon, a much needed romantic escape just for the two of you - or an "I'm sorry, honey," surprise.

Imagine having a one-hour, in-room massage for two in front of your fireplace and a choice of beverage with goodies placed in your room. Receive a unique heart-shaped Oil Candle of Vermont as a memento of this special time for the two of you. Package may be used with any two-or-more night stay.

Stay a minimum of two nights and we will arrange for a Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride or Sleigh Ride just for the two of you (or a one-hour horeseback trail ride). We will supply you with a basket of Vermont cheese and crackers, fruit, Chris' famous chocolate brownies and a beverage of your choice to take along with you. There will be a surprise gift for you as a memento of this time.

The ultimate in romance packages -- stay three nights and include the massage and carriage/sleigh ride.

Three or More Night Stays
For any stay of three or more nights we are offering a $50 gift certificate to be honored at one of two local fine dining establishments. These gift certificates may be redeemed on any week day (Sunday through Thursday). And if you extend to a fourth night, receive a complimentary copy of "Vermont, an Explorer's Guide," a comprehensive guide to help you in planning your multi-night stay.

These offers are valid for all stays, excluding fall foliage/holiday weeks/days and our $195/$235 rooms. Also, our week day rates are $40 less than our weekend rates. We hope this entices you to extend your stay.
