 West Arlington, Vermont (VT) Bed & Breakfast: The upstairs suite includes two bedrooms divided by a full bath. Each bedroom has a king bed hand-hewn from trees that grew on the property. Off of the suite is a sitting area with ping pong table and there are stairs leading down to the kitchen and shared living space.

We provide secluded access to the splendor of the southern Green Mountains, as well as being near the Battenkill River - which is inspiring for photographers, writers, artists, and canoeing. Our outstanding views will give you refreshing memories in the mountains 850 feet above sea level.

A full country breakfast is waiting for you in a peaceful mountain setting.
Coffee is available at 7:30 AM in the kitchen.

Enjoy the scenic Vermont views from windows in your room. The bed is 80 inches long, made from trees cut off the property hand-hewn by a friend. Room is decoracted in a simple fashion some items I make myself. There is a radio in the room, linens, soap, towels, toilet paper, blankets, dresser, and a place to hang clothes. If you need an ironing board, you can use mine downstairs in my sewing room. You have a private bathroom with shower and a private porch entrance. Local Laundromat lets you drop off clothes and pick them up after they are finished. If you want to bring home food from ordering out and eat in the KITCHEN you are welcome. There are dishes and dish soap by the sink and utensils available. Outside there are chairs here and there for relaxing and taking in views of the mountains and countryside. TV reception is not very good so bring a book to enjoy or play ping-pong. There are short trails for walks if you like. I will leave the light on for you if you arrive late.

You are welcome to use the gas grill at the picnic area and there is always room in the fridge and freezer.

  • Private Bath, Breakfast, Private Entrance, Coffee 7:30AM
  • $80 - $100 nightly
  • Two Night Minimum
  • Two week advance notice and deposit.
  • Deposit: $100 to $200
  • Make Check Payable to Evelyn Buck. ONLY USA Checks or Signed Traveler's Checks.
  • NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED.
  • Refund: With 2 week advance notice of cancellation. Refund cannot be made until check clears.
  • If late with cancellation another date can be set with in a reasonable time so you do not lose your deposit.
  • Gift Certificates: Two night minimum stay.
  • Last minute reservations possible. Call for availability - Thank You.
  • All rates subject to an additional 9% VT Room and Meal Tax.
  • Rate can change without notice.
  • Check in: 3 pm; Check out: 11 am.
  • SMOKING OUTSIDE PERMITTED
  • Josie loves our human guests. Sorry, we cannot welcome other pets at this time.
