Introduction
Welcome to the Maple Leaf Inn
Your first glimpse of the inn as the trees unfold will promise you have found a special place. Refresh your spirit and restore your soul in this pastoral corner of Vermont. The Maple Leaf Inn, a Victorian-style farmhouse nestled snugly within sixteen acres of maple and birch trees, is located in Barnard. With its white steepled churches, general store, and views of Silver Lake and the Green Mountains, Barnard is a quintessential Vermont village. Country lanes and back roads invite you to explore farms, fields, and forests ever changing with the seasons.
We have been awarded American Automobile Association's Four Diamond Award for the eighth year in a row.
You will delight in the many turn-of-the-century features such as gables, dormers, ginger-bread trim, a wraparound porch with gazebo, tall windows, and soaring chimneys. Common rooms consist of an elegant parlor where you may enjoy late afternoon refreshments. Books and artifacts from around the world adorn the walls in the intimate library where comfortable chairs invite you to read or relax to your heart's content.
The dining room accommodates romantic candlelit tables for two where memorable breakfasts are lovingly served. All muffins, sweetrolls, and breads are baked in our own kitchen. Elegant dinners may be available by prior arrangement.
