"A comfortable retreat with the personal touch,"Lowell Sun the Inn's 13
guest rooms (9 with fireplaces) offer such top-notch amenities as 2-person
whirlpool or thermal massage tubs, plump featherbeds, Anichini linens,
antiques, Persian rugs and flowering orchids from the Innkeepers'
greenhouse. Friendly, attentive staff & owners make guests feel welcome
and pampered.
Enjoy a personal tour of the Inn's on-site tropical paradise, a
670-square-foot orchid greenhouse—open year-round but certainly a
restorative haven amidst Vermont's legendary winter snowdrifts. In this
state-of-the-art greenhouse, Innkeeper/owner Bob Aldrich grows a large and
diverse collection (over 500!) of rare and unusual orchids. Upon request,
Bob gladly shares his considerable knowledge about orchid care and
cultivation. Each guest room and many common areas of the inn display
these exotic beauties.
Spend a day in Weston Village: walk to the renowned Vermont Country Store,
local shops, museums and galleries, and the acclaimed Weston Playhouse for
first-rate theater and musicals.
Surrounded by four mountains (Okemo, Stratton, Bromley and Magic), diverse
four-season activities abound nearby, from alpine and cross-country
skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and horse-drawn sleigh rides to hiking,
biking, golf, swimming, canoeing and horseback riding. Great shopping and
antiquing--from Manchester's designer outlets and boutiques to eclectic
crafts, Vermont-made products and art--are also close by. Day trips and
scenic drives offer chances to explore quaint villages, covered bridges
and the pristine Vermont countryside with breathtaking views.
