Guest Rooms/Rates

Lake View Porch View
Our property has four buildings: The Main Inn, The Cove House, The Southwind and The Homestead. All overlook Lake Champlain, with three directly lakeside. Our Lakeside buildings are available From June 1st to October 18th.

The Main Inn:

The Thomas P. Salmon Suite
This warm, sun-filled suite has a beautiful private sitting room with a firepl ace, a convertible sofa, and French doors opening onto a private porch overlooking Lake Champlain, a bedroom with an exquisitely adorned canopy bed set under a transom window, and an elegant bathroom with marble floors and a large jacuzzi tub.

Lakeview Rooms:

The Allen Brothers Room
The Allen Brothers room has a regal, four poster queen bed with beautiful antique furniture adorning the room, a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a private screened-in porch overlooking Lake Champlain.

The Tudhope Room
The Tudhope room has a beautiful wooden frame king bed, elegant decor, a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a private screened-in porch overlooking Lake Champlain.

Lakeview (no private porch) Rooms:

The Ladd Room
A sunny, charming 3rd floor room with sloping ceilings, over- looking Lake Champlain. This room has a window seat and magnificent bathroom with a claw-foot tub and a separate shower.

The Haynes Room
Located adjacent to our Ladd room, the Haynes room is almost a mirror image of the Ladd room, with a window seat and views of Lake Champlain. This room has a queen bed and a jacuzzi bathtub.

The Wood Room
A charming room with a four-postered queen bed, a view of the garden, and a private shower.

Other Guest Rooms:

(Knight, Hyde and Butler Rooms) Our Main Inn has several adorable country rooms which are situated at the back of the house, with views of the gardens, inn grounds, and some with indirect lake views. Each20of these rooms is decorated with beautiful antique furnishings, and are all unique. Bed sizes range from double, queen, or two twins. All have private baths with a shower or tub. These lovely rooms are offered at a lower price without sacrificing comfort or beauty in accommodation.


The Cove House:

The Cobbler's Suite:
Located right on the water's edge, this rustic suite has three foot thick stone walls, a sitting room with a massive stone fireplace, a separate bedroom with a cedar framed bed, a private bathroom and a screened in patio perfect for enjoying the beautiful lake and mountain views.

Lakeview Rooms:

(The Champlain, Wright, Hickock, Contrecoeur, Allen, and Clark Rooms) These rooms are all located directly above the waters of lake champlain and feature private screened in porches, each uniquely decorated and adorned with antique furnishings, private bathrooms, and a king, queen, or two double beds. Four of these rooms have the option to adjoin to the neighboring room.


The Southwind:

The Southwind Way Suite
The Way Suite is situated just above our steamship pier and overlooks Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains from its 21 foot-wide, glassed-in front porch. Furnished with a cozy fireplace, a sofa bed, sitting area, a breakfast table, and a coffee station, this porch is the perfect place to enjoy views of the lake. The bedroom has king sized bed and a private bath with a jacuzzi tub.

Other Guest Rooms:

(The Abnaki, Dubuqe, and 20Pelot Rooms) These rooms are also located in our Southwind Lakeside Building, with a beautiful shared porch overlooking the lake and steamship pier. Each room has a uniquely beautiful decor with private bath and two beds (two queens or two doubles). Rooms 2 and 3 are equipped with two double beds and handicap baths.


The Homestead:

Lakeview Rooms:

(The Dodds and Hazen Rooms) Our two Homestead porch suites are set right above the water's edge, both with sliding glass doors opening onto private, screened-in porches, beautiful antique decor, king size beds, and private baths with jacuzzi tubs.

Other Guest Rooms:

(The Hibbard, Poquette, Hathaway, and Champlin Rooms) The four Homestead rooms have a shared balcony porch with lake views. Each room has its own unique decor and the option to adjoin with the neighboring room, with the choice of a queen or two twin beds, all with private baths.

Information and General Guidelines
  • Rates include full breakfast for two people
  • Rates are based on double occupancy, $35 extra person charge
  • Children 5 and under stay free with parents
  • A two-night minimum is required on summer season weekends and holiday periods.
  • (3 nights minimum during summer holiday weekends)
  • Rates do not include 9% Vermont State Room Tax.
  • Deposits are required to secure reservations.
  • We accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
  • Cancellations:
    • Within 14 days of the date of arrival will result in a one night room charge.
    • $25 Handling Fee with all Cancellations
