Introduction
Nestled on a country road, the Green River Inn Bed & Breakfast is located in the peaceful town of Sandgate. Established in 1761, the town has a population of 355 people and still maintains the charm and quaintness of times gone by.
The Innkeepers purchased the Green River Inn in 2004 and now invite guests to enjoy the charm of the past, the luxury of modern amenities, and the natural beauty of Sandgate. Relax, rejuvenate and explore the natural harmony of the mountains, the soothing sounds of the river, the magnificent star filled skies, and the beautiful surrounding valley.
Green River Inn's sixteen guest rooms have been completely renovated and are individually decorated with quilts, down comforters, Waverly prints, antiques and hand painted furniture. All of our beautiful rooms offer king or queen size beds, private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and mountain or river views. Coffee is available at 7:00 am, and breakfast is served between 8:00 and 9:30 am. Afternoon tea and a snack are served daily at 4:00 pm.
Tucked away in a quiet valley in the heart of the Green Mountains, The Green River Inn is the perfect place to celebrate your Vermont country wedding. Whether you choose a lawn, deck or dining room affair, your wedding can take place alongside the beautiful Green River, complete with babbling river sounds and spectacular mountain views.
Relax in a hammock by the river, near the campfire, or under the starry skies.
