The Governor's House in Hyde Park

French Room - Decorated in the colors of Provence, the French Room overlooks the front lawn. It has sleigh beds, one queen size and one twin. The private bath has an antique claw foot tub and a separate shower. Rate: $215 - $265.

Pink Room - The romantic Pink Room has a queen size canopy bed bedecked with cutwork lace. Overlooking the front lawn, the view of Hyde Park village is delightful when it snows. It has a gas fireplace and a private bath with an antique claw foot tub. This room can be made to connect with the Governor's bedroom. Rate: $185 - $255.

Blue Room - Originally designed for the family boys, blue toile wallpaper and checked curtains give this room its name. It has a queen size four-poster bed, a gas fireplace, a small private bath with shower, and a wonderful view of the mountains. Rate: $185 - $255 .

Pineapple Room - This small room looks out across the front yard to the Opera House. It has a full size four-poster bed and shares a close-by bath. Rate: $125 - $135 (single $95 - $115).

Garden Room - This fully-handicapped accessible room in the new wing has its own entrance through a private garden. A ramp gives access to the first floor of the inn. It has a queen size bed, a full private bathroom with tub and shower, a large sun deck, and a TV with cable connection, VCR and DVD. A telephone is available in the room. Rate: $185 - $245.

• Each extra person is an additional $25, less for children. 9% Vermont tax is additional. Tips are not accepted.
• Open: June - March, other times by arrangement. Closed: Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas, and at the whim of the innkeeper.
• Serving full English afternoon tea Thursdays & Sundays. Reservations required.
• No smoking. No pets. 24-hour boarding is available half a mile away. Please be advised that the inn staff includes a small black cat.
• Well-behaved children are warmly welcomed.
• Every effort is made to accommodate your arrival & departure times as well as your special needs.
• The first night's stay is charged to hold a reservation. With 15 days notice of cancellation, the deposit, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be refunded. Early departure is subject to the cancellation fee.
