For a charming and relaxing B&B vacation, one might want to visit Fairfax in Vermont. Named after Thomas Fairfax, an English baron who was one of George Washington's friends, the town is located in a lovely rural area between Vermont's historic Green Mountains and beautiful Lake Champlain. A Fairfax bed and breakfast would reveal many scenic views. For example, a Fairfax inn would have a wonderful view of Mount Mansfield. One might be delighted to visit Fairfax Falls or the Fairfax covered bridge. The Fairfax Historical Society could enable one to learn much about this historic area. One might want to visit Fairfax in the fall in order to attend the annual chicken pie supper. The area is great for maple syrup, too. Great places to eat include the Country Pantry and the Foothills Bakery.
