Travel information about Chittenden, Vermont

Chittenden is a town in Rutland County. By area the largest town in the state, Chittenden was named after Thomas Chittenden, one of the Green Mountain Boys and Governor of both the independent Republic of Vermont, and later, the State of Vermont. The town has ample B&Bs for your accommodation needs. Once you make one of the Chittenden bed & breakfast your home away from home, you have many nearby activities to enjoy: "Vermont Marble Exhibit" is a one of a kind of museum which exhibits exclusive examples of marble from around the world.
