Monk's Tale
Chaucer's Garrett -
This is our largest room, and features a king sized bed, TV, and it's own sitting area. Decorated in creams and blues this room, like all of our rooms, has its own private bath, and is air-conditioned in the summer.
Monk's Tale
Beautifully decorated in blue florals, this queen room exudes pure romance and features a private entrance, ball and claw foot bath tub and cable television. It even has a small gas fireplace to take the chill off of a cold autumn evening.
Friar's Tale
This room is the perfect room for couples or siblings alike, and the first floor convenience makes this room especially desirable for those wishing not to navigate a lot of stairs or wanting to be first in line for a cup of morning coffee. A very charming, cozy twin bedded room located on the first floor off of the dining room.
Parson's Tale
With an antique walnut queen bed as the focal point, this lovely cream and burgundy room with private bath radiates serenity that ensures a good night's sleep.
Knight's Tale
Cool greens and warm pinks dominate this room, which has a lovely white iron queen bed and private bath with a stall shower. The appliquéd bedspread features florals giving the room a garden-like ambience.
Squire's Tale
This Quiet, Charming and Cozy room is located in the back of the house. It features a country pine queen bed as well as a full bath in which to luxuriate after a busy day. Now this Quiet, Charming and Cozy room, already our second most popular room, becomes even better with the introduction of it's own seperate private sitting area ideal for the extended stay, or when one might want to read of watch TV without disturbing the other.
Reeve's Tale
A spring day is what you'll be reminded of in this green and white floral queen bedded room with private bath. Located on the second floor it features a white wicker headboard and antique Victorian furniture.

Of course one of the main reasons you stay at a Bed and Breakfast is for that "Breakfast experience"! For the early birds, you'll find coffee and tea arrives around 7:30 a.m. Just the thing to get you started. There's nothing like an early cup of coffee and a walk, or for the more energetic an early morning run, around the village in the crisp Vermont morning air.
We like to say that most of the time, our breakfasts are just a vehicle for Vermont's own, famous, Maple Syrup. Besides a breakfast meat and fresh seasonal fruit, one day it might be Pancakes with Sue's special Apple Topping, the next maybe Waffles, sometimes with ICE CREAM, or perhaps Sue's signature, French Toast. Sue tries never to duplicate a breakfast for a guest, which means you almost always have something different. But she'll admit that it becomes quite a challenge for her if you stay more than 8 days. (But don't let that discourage you...Sue loves a Challenge)
Whatever breakfast is when you're here, make sure you bring your appetite!!
