The Burton Farm Lodge is an old farmstead nestled against the hills rising to the north of Brownsville. The cozy two story Victorian white farmhouse looks across a 2 1/2 acre trout pond and is surrounded by 2 acres of lawn, accented with beautiful, lovingly kept flower gardens.

How to Find Us

From Northbound I-91: Take Exit 8 (Ascutney) an turn right at the end of the exit ramp. At the stop lights, turn left onto Route 5 North toward Windsor. Proceed 1.2 miles to Route 44, a left hand turn off Route 5. Follow Route 44 past Mount Ascutney State Park to a stop sign. Take a left at the stop sign and continue West on Route 44 to the center of Brownsville. By the town hall and church, turn right and go up the hill 3 miles to the pond. The Burton Farm Lodge is on the left side of the road next to the pond (white farm house).

From Southbound I-91: Take Exit 9 (Hartland), turn left onto Route 5 South through Windsor. At the second stop light, turn right onto Route 44A (becomes Route 44 outside of town). Proceed 5 miles to the center of Brownsville. By the town hall and church, turn right and go up the hill 3 miles to the pond. The Burton Farm Lodge is on the left side of the road next to the pond (large white farm house).

From Woodstock: Take Route 4 East through Taftsville to Route 12. Turn right onto Route 12 toward Hartland. Follow Route 12 East 8 miles to the village of Hartland Four-Corners. At the intersection, turn right onto the Brownsville-Hartland Road (a church and the Skunk Hollow Tavern Restaurant will be on your right). Stay on this paved main road for 4 miles. The Burton Farm Lodge with its pond is on the right as you descend the hill into Brownsville.
