Brownsville, Vermont is located in south eastern Vermont on state route 44 near West Windsor, Vermont. While staying in a Brownsville bed and breakfast you will find nearby 3 of Vermont's famed Covered Bridges; the "Bests", "Bowers" and "Twiggy". For those who enjoy outdoor activities check out the Ascutney Mountain Resort, one of Vermont's major ski areas. Ascutney Mountain Resort can be accessed just east of Brownsville. From July 25th to July 27th each year Brownsville and neighboring Windsor, Vermont are home to the Annual Harpoon Barbeque Championship of New England, which has been held there for the past seven years. If Barbeque isn't your style then drop in to neighboring Quechee for a romantic getaway at an area B&B and attend the Balloon Festival held there from June 13th to the 16th. While in town try the Windsor Pub Station which has 10 draught beers on tap and a full bar, they have been in operation at the same location for 30 years.
