The Barsen House is a custom-built Inn located near the shores of Lake Champlain, Vermont's Green and New York's Adirondack Mountains frame this 4,000 square foot Inn nestled in the heart of the Champlain Valley. The four-acre property includes extensive annual and perennial gardens, organic vegetables, berries, fruit trees and a wildflower meadow. A short walk to Lake Champlain offers visitors a large beach with access for swimming, fishing and boating. The northwest facing cove provides an easy launch for wind surfers, kayaks and canoe enthusiasts. Bikers will enjoy the rural landscape of the "West Coast of New England" as they ride along Lake Champlain.

Hikers will never forget the views atop Snake Mountain, a moderate one hour trek. Birders will enjoy the Dead Creek Wildlife Preserve, Herons at our pond, the Bald Eagles overhead and the Loons and other birds the lake attracts. Children will have a lot of fun at the Barsen House Inn. They will enjoy the excitement of gathering eggs from the chicken coop and picking raspberries from the bushes for their cereal. Feeding the ducks in the pond and catching frogs with our nets become Kodak moments. In the evening, memories are made roasting marshmallows at the fire pit.

The Barsen House Inn's land holds the distinction of being National Wildlife Backyard Habitat Certified. The four-acre property includes a pond and extensive annual and perennial gardens, organic vegetables, fruit trees, and a wildflower meadow. Enjoy our "nature preserve" while walking around the grounds on mowed paths or quietly reading in the location of your choice.

Our typical breakfast menu offers our chicken's eggs, fresh fruits, yogurt, Vermont bacon, sausage, and homemade muffins & breads. Our special entrees include apple crepes, eggs Florentine with an orange dill sauce or a healthy vegetable frittata. Our 4 course dinners must be scheduled in advance and are served in our dining room at a cost of $30 per person. The menu is varied and will accommodate vegetarians. All meals are prepared with the freshest ingredients in our country kitchen.

Located near the shores of Lake Champlain, The Barsen House Inn offers customized bicycling routes for the novice and experienced riders. The Champlain Valley is the "heart" of Vermont and, as such, presents a gently rolling landscape at the Lake's edge and more challenging rides in the surrounding Green and Adirondack Mountains. History buffs will appreciate the nearby Forts and mountain bikers can conquer Snake Mountain and savor the panoramic views at the top.
