Carleton Business Finance is an independent commercial mortgage broker assisting small and growing businesses in obtaining SBA-guaranteed real estate financing, loan packaging and financial consultation prior to applying for a loan. Doug Carleton is an expert in bed and breakfast financing, is a member of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International, has spoken on financing at the national conference, quoted in the Wall Street Journal, and is author of over 17 articles on bed and breakfast financing since 2001, most of which are found on the company website. He has worked in SBA lending since 1994, specializing in SBA financing for real estate acquisition. Prior to that he spent 28 years in real estate development, construction and finance. He has been a frequent speaker and author on SBA and small business finance and consults with business owners in preparation for loan application. He is also a facilitator in the FastTrac entrepreneurial training programs of the Kaufman Foundation based in Kansas City (www.fasttrac.org). The Kaufman Foundation is the only large American foundation to focus on entrepreneurship.
