Introduction
Come experience
the romance and history!
The Inn at Warner Hall is a historical plantation created in 1642 by George Washington's great-great grandfather. Plan your visit to this wonderfully restored mansion, soon to be one of the finest country inns on the East Coast. Imagine your vacation, a wonderful wedding, a family reunion or business conference on our 38 acre waterfront retreat. Come savor the peace and pleasures of country life and fine dining.
Established in 1642, Warner Hall Plantation reflects more than 350 years of history and architectural development. Today, Warner Hall welcomes guests in the lasting tradition of fine southern hospitality. Completely renovated and lovingly restored, the Inn at Warner Hall offers guests a rare opportunity to experience the best of the old world with new world amenities. One enters the mansion through a hall with a grand, central staircase, dividing as it rises to the second floor and third floor guest rooms above. French doors lead from the casually elegant drawing and dining rooms to the dramatic glass/screen enclosed river porch.
The comfort and convenience of our guests is our primary concern. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with a combination of period antiques, eclectic furnishings, art and sumptuous Schumacher fabrics and wallcoverings. All of the Inn's eleven spacious guestrooms have 10' ceilings, comfortable sitting areas, private bath, individual climate control, telephone and CD clock radio. Our down comforters, pillows, terry robes, mineral water, chocolates and Crabtree & Evelyn bath products will ensure a delightful stay!
Ready for a delicious breakfast served on the delightful glass-enclosed porch? Get started with an artfully prepared fresh fruit plate and home-baked cinnamon bread and muffins. Follow up with Belgian waffles with strawberries and cream or Warner Hall Eggs Benedict prepared with Chesapeake Bay crab and potato cakes. Perhaps an omelet to order with smoked surry sausage? Early risers will find freshly brewed coffee and tea in the second floor sitting room along with a guest refrigerator stocked with complimentary soft drinks and snacks. Step out onto the Upper Porch and watch the horses graze in the front pastures.
