Elegantly appointed and infused with genuine Southern hospitality, The Walker's Waterfront Bed and Breakfast is designed to accommodate the most discerning guest, and offers the traveler a tranquil respite. Beautiful antiques (many of which are available for purchase), and a lovely rose garden await your arrival. The quietude experienced here belies its in-town location.

The handsome library affords guests the option of engaging in pleasant conversation, choosing from among hundreds of volumes, enjoying the Knabe grand piano, relaxing in front of the television, or watching a video. For those with business matters to attend to, a computer with Internet connection and a color printer are available.

Breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m. Weather permitting, your delicious and bountiful full breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the river, or in the sun-drenched morning room.

Afternoon Tea is offered al fresco at four o'clock on the terrace, or under the spreading Oaks at river's edge. On cooler or inclement afternoons, find yourself cozily ensconced in "Miss Emily's Drawing Room". In winter, tea is served in the elegant fireplaced living room where guests are also invited to spend an enjoyable evening by the fire.

Accommodations

Two lovely first-floor bedrooms, with full bath between, invite you to enjoy a peaceful night's rest. These rooms open into an interior hall, which can be closed off from other traffic if desired, and used as a suite if needed.

The Champagne Room offers a somewhat formal ambiance with four-poster double bed and beautiful appointments. The River Room with its queen bed affords a light and airy touch overlooking the river and terrace.

  • 1 night's deposit required with balance due upon arrival.
