The Chumley Homeplace

In contrast to the grand scale of the Vaucluse Manor House are the five cozy guest houses on the grounds.

Three separate guest cottages are available. The Mill House Studio, an 1800's building on the site of the old mill sitting at the waters edge, the Gallery Guest House a historic structure move to the site and used by famed "Valley Artist", John Chumley as his working gallery and, the Cabin by the Pond, a delightful hideaway in a converted tobacco barn nestled in the woods overlooking the pond.

Two rooms, perfect for friends and family travelling together, are tucked away in the Cottage on the Hill.

A full country breakfast is served in the Manor House dining rooms, as is our three course casual Friday supper and our Saturday night dinner, a four course gourmet repast. All meals are prepared using only thefinest, freshest ingredients.

The Chumley Homeplace contains two guest rooms upstairs and two in a wing attached to the homeplace. The Mill House Studio, once Chumley's art studio, is a late 1800's building on the foundation of the original mill for the estate.
