Guests are invited to lunch and dine, or just spend some time rocking on the large front porch, curled up with a good book, or celebrating special occasions. Downstairs, the English style William Rand Tavern is a perfect meeting spot for drinks or dessert. The front sitting room, draped in finery, is cozy for quiet conversations. Two beautiful, fine dining rooms seat fifty people, and upstairs are five elegant suites for lodging. George Washington did sleep here!
The Smithfield Inn offers five suites available for lodging daily. Each suite has three rooms -- a private bath, a sitting room, and a bedroom with queen size bed. Rates range from $85 to $150 plus tax which includes breakfast the next morning.

| The Inn is open for lunch Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. The menu's southern slant reflects a culinary heritage of the community's indigenous foods. Menus change seasonally, as does the fine selection of featured wines. Reservations are highly recommended for dinner. |

The William Rand Tavern opens at 4:30 p.m. until close, Monday through Saturday. Tavern fare includes appetizers, sandwiches and features foreign and domestic beers We offer Golf and Romantic Getaway/Honeymoon packages. All guests can also use the YMCA exercise club which is within walking distance of the Inn. |
This circa 1900, Victorian
Garden House, built by Emmett Wilson is a "Home away from Home". A charming house completely refurbished in a cheerful and casual style. This house has a parlor for everyone's use. The garden at the Inn is available for private wedding parties and dinners. The house features: one two-bedroom suite with adjoining bathroom, king size bed and two twin beds at a rate of $145 plus tax; one room with a king size bed and private bath at a rate of $95 plus tax; and one downstairs room with queen bed and private bath at a rate of $95 plus tax. Reserve a room or the entire Garden House. It is reminiscent of the charming, gracious lifestyle of the past. (Breakfast included!) |
